Combining Web of Science and Scopus datasets in citation-based literature study

Abstract Scientific research builds on previous studies and scientifically proven knowledge. Researchers must master the recent developments in field when designing to answer new questions. Today, accessibility of literature is abundant due digitized publications, extensive coverage citation indexes, several databases. The means for conducting systematic reviews have greatly improved. In years, a lot with methods, such as reviews, mapping, visualizing studies, has been published. Despite tools having perfected, they still limitations. Particularly, database selection search sets bias, because indexes differ according scientific domain. this paper, bibliometric data from two (Web Science Scopus) are combined purposes analyses context inter-firm relationships. combination process requires unifying repairing practice that referred wrangling. This study describes steps lessons learned considers amount effort required.
